Today is a new day!! Time to put the past behind us. My goal
for today is A. Workout and B. Drink 8 cups of water. I work an 8-5 job and
getting in my water for the day is often times put on the back burner when the
day gets busy. I decided to do it in bursts today
—get 3 cups in before lunch, 3 cups
after lunch, and then 2 cups while I’m eating. Hopefully this strategy works
for some of you out there.
I brought my gym clothes to change right after work before I
get into my car that way I have NO EXCUSE. Typically around 2pm I start getting
lazy and convince myself to not workout and just go home, but then I have too
much time on my hands and regret it later.
I realized this morning that I have to do groceries so
excuse the randomness of my meals today.
My breakfast this morning is Nature Valley- Crunch Oats ‘n
Honey. This was the first thing I grabbed from my pantry since I had no fresh fruit or milk this
morning.

For lunch I had Panera Low-Fat Chicken Tortilla Soup, Sugar
Free Jello - Strawberry Kiwi, & my mutltivitamin. I feel like the Tortilla
Soup had a TON of CHO, but like I said I did not have anything in my fridge and
this was the first thing I saw. It actually tasted really great!! I am still
feeling very motivated to work out after work. So far I have drank a little
over 3 cups of water. J
For dinner, I used my new Spiral vegetable maker. I used it to make zucchini and carrot noodles. Worked so much better on the zucchini-- the carrots didn't end up being 'noodle' shaped, just chunks -- and then I mixed it with some spaghetti sauce. I made a healthy chicken Parmesan. I actually didn't even use Parmesan cheese now that I think of it. I just breaded it LIGHTLY with some panko and flax seed mixed together-- now how much got on the chicken is a different story haha. This was the first time I made zucchini noodles and I can definitely say that it won't be the last. I had to use 2 zucchini to make a sufficient amount for myself but the fact that I am eating vegetables instead of pasta is so great.
For snacks I had a small bowl of raspberries and then after dinner I had a yogurt as my healthy dessert.
I suffer from severe back pains. It gets at its peak on long car drives or when I am sitting at work for a long period of time. I realized recently with my weight gain, that my back also hurts if I walk/jog for too long. I am going to try to incorporate yoga 3-5 times a week in addition to working out. I watched a YouTube video of yoga for back pain and I feel like it really helps. Click the link below to watch or do the video YOURSELF and comment below of your opinions. September is National Yoga Month!!!
I would like to say, my goals have been reached for today!! I drank my 8 cups of water, YAY!! I also worked out after work-- I did 31 minutes on a stationary bike. I did not push myself as hard as I could but I did not want to wear myself out either. I am very proud of myself and hopefully tomorrow I can continue this pattern.
